The Team Behind Ridgeline Continuity Press

Ridgeline Continuity Press was founded in 2019 with a simple premise: the people making decisions about backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning deserve editorial content written by practitioners — not by marketing departments trying to move product.

We've all sat through vendor webinars that spend 45 minutes on a product demo and 3 minutes on the actual problem. We've read white papers that bury the useful information under 12 pages of brand messaging. We started Ridgeline because the people who need this information the most — IT directors, infrastructure engineers, compliance officers — were the ones being served the worst by existing content.

Everything we publish comes from direct experience. Our writers have managed backup environments, executed disaster recoveries under real pressure, and sat through the post-incident reviews where the hard truths come out. We don't accept sponsored content. We don't run vendor-written guest posts. When we cover a topic, we cover it from the operator's perspective — including the parts that are messy, expensive, or unflattering to the industry.

Ridgeline Continuity Press LLC is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. We've been publishing since 2019 and we plan to keep going as long as organizations keep losing data to preventable failures. Which is to say: indefinitely.

Nora has spent 14 years in IT operations, including five years running disaster recovery planning for a 12,000-endpoint hospital network across 23 facilities. She launched Ridgeline in 2019 after realizing that the most useful DR knowledge lived in post-incident chat threads and never made it into published form. Her writing is direct, occasionally sardonic, and heavy on specific numbers — because vague advice is useless when you're deciding how much to budget for backup infrastructure. When she's not editing, she's probably reviewing someone's DR plan and circling the parts that haven't been tested.
